Authorities have now released the identity of a male suspect they continue to search for.
Major Ricky Gardner with the Bedford County Sheriff's Office said investigators obtained four warrants for 27-year-old Antonio Waring, of Raleigh, N.C. and believe he is one of the two suspects that ran from and eluded police yesterday.
The men left a woman behind... Deputies arrested 24-year-old Lachelle Slaughter, of Lynchburg, shown right.
The News and Advance shared a morning press release from authorities and reported that "Waring is charged with conspiring to cash a forged note, conspiring to utter a forged note, feloniously conspiring to conduct a bank action and eluding police officers."
The newspaper also reported that the charges against Waring follow an incident at the Bank of the James on Forest Road on Wednesday.
Authorities are still searching for the two suspects and plan to release a photo of Waring. Wednesday's search put businesses and three schools in the Wyndhurst area on lockdown for part of the afternoon.
