When it comes to app-based dating, one of the biggest demographics exploring the territory has become the Boomer crowd.
- On Feeld, an app targeted at “free-spirited relationship structures,” there’s been a 340% increase in 60-plus-aged members since 2022
- On Match.com, over one-fourth of the members are of the 50-plus variety
- Research shows that 20% of all singles in their 50’s have Tinder experience
- Sites like OK Cupid and Bumble have also become “go-to destinations for older singles seeking some version or romance”
These figures are also backing up by a reported increase in what are being called “Boomergasms,” where 90% of boomers report “having orgasms during intercourse.” This, as compared to 54% of millennials and 50% of Gen Z’ers reporting the same.
