A North Carolina restaurant has caused a huge financial headache for one customer, even though their intentions were good.
Rhonda Deaver ate at Smith's Cafe in Kinston, North Carolina and accidentally left her credit card behind. When she eventually realized it, she returned to the eatery to retrieve the card, which the restaurant fortunately held onto. What she didn't immediately know, was that soon after she originally left the restaurant, a worker picked up the card and tried to find Deaver by posting photos of the front and back of the card on a community Facebook page.
The worker may have had the right idea in trying to find Deaver, but putting the card on social media led to a number of fraudulent charges in the amount of more than $2000, which she is still trying to dispute with the credit card company. (WRAL-TV - Raleigh, NC)
