We've all heard the phrase "looking at life through with rose-colored glasses," and apparently that's a real thing.
The sunglass company Spy has created a line of shades called "Happy Lens" that are supposed to elevate your mood.
They say the glasses work by blocking the "bad" ultraviolet, short wave blue light while letting the "good" long wave blue light in. This is supposed to boost your mood, keep you more alert, and help you sleep more soundly.
Too good to be true? Maybe, but science seems to back it up. A Scandanavian study that researched the effects of different light colors on people working in an office found that "exposure to blue-enriched white light during daytime work hours improves subjective alertness, performance and evening fatigue."
