American Idol went live from coast to coast Sunday evening featuring the music of the most successful Idol in the show's history, Carrie Underwood.
The show opened with the top 5 performing Carrie's hit "See You Again" and Carrie herself joined them in the first chorus.
This season, American Idol has been trying a new format where they go live coast to coast and viewers vote in real time. This week, Cade Foehner and Michael J Woodard went home leaving Maddie Poppe, Gabby Barrett and Caleb Lee Hutchinson to face off in next week's season finale.
