Ding, Dong, Get Out!

Police in Florida have apologized to a homeowner whom they mistakenly tried to evict last week.

Jennifer Michele got a Ring alert on her doorbell camera and looked at the video to find two cops and a locksmith outside her door and drilling through the lock. She was understandably frightened and said, "I didn’t know if these people were trying to get into my house. I didn’t know if everything was OK.” Well, everything was not OK. Cops were at the wrong address and were supposed to evict her next door neighbor. Meanwhile, Jennifer was stuck with a broken lock on her front door, which the cops said would be repaired for her at no charge. But it's a good thing she was home at the time, otherwise they would have come into her house and likely removed all of her belongings. (WFLA-TV)

Everyone makes mistakes. Even police officers. Hopefully they will be more careful and be certain they have the correct address in the future.
Imagine she was out and came home to find all of her stuff in the driveway.
She doesn't even rent her home. She owns it, so she would never have to worry about being evicted.
