Mother/Daughter Team Ran 13-Year Credit Card Fraud Scheme That Racked Up $850k In Charges: 61-year-old Karan Geist and her 33-year-old daughter Alyssa Geist both pled not guilty to a list of fraud charges on Friday. The two are accused of using 14 different credit card companies to run a 13-year-long scam to buy designer clothes and expensive vacations. Prosecutors say the pair reported real charges as fraudulent for around $850k, spread across over 100 cards. On separate occasions, they’re accused of getting $205k put on an American Express card and $155k put on a Chase card by reporting actual purchases as phony.
