Gators and Tigers and Drugs, Oh My

Police recently raided a pair of houses in Albuquerque, New Mexico and seized a variety of illegal items, from drugs and guns to an alligator. But law enforcement is most concerned about the tiger which got away.

The New Mexico Department of Game and Fish says they believe a young tiger had been kept as a pet at one of the houses but wasn't there when law enforcement arrived. They don't know if it's been moved to another home or if it's on the loose. It's believed to weigh around 60 pounds, but will grow fast and could get up to 600 pounds. The confiscated alligator was turned over to a wildlife conservation facility. Police arrested 26-year-old Carlos Giddings on a slew of drug and weapons charges. The raid netted 49 pounds of marijuana, 10 pounds of cocaine, heroin, 17 rifles and a couple of assault weapons. (CBS News)

Scott's Thoughts:

  • They better find that tiger.
  • Maybe the alligator ate the tiger?
  • Pretty sure this guy will be going away for a while.
