*SNL:* Chris Redd Exits After 5 Years
Add another name to the list of outgoing Saturday Night Live cast members — Chris Redd, who's been with the show for five seasons, has announced his exit.
In a statement, the comedian said, “Being a part of SNL has been the experience of a lifetime. Five years ago, I walked into 30 Rock knowing that this was an amazing opportunity for growth. Now, with friends who have become family and memories I will cherish forever, I’m grateful to Lorne Michaels and to the entire SNL organization. From the bottom of my heart, I can’t thank you all enough.”
Redd is the seventh cast member who won't return to SNL for Season 48, which premieres October 1st.
Scott's Thoughts:
- Even with all the exits, there are still at least a dozen people in the cast.
- Kenan Thompson ain't leaving. He's been on the show since 2003.
- SNL has already added four new featured players.
- There have been very few episodes I haven't seen. At least until I fall asleep after Weekend Update. The skits after that are usually not that good.
