SCIENTISTS HAVE BREWED A BETTER BEER
Some microbiologists in Belgium believe they have improved the taste of beer by identifying and genetically modifying a gene that affects the flavor.
The researchers focused on a certain gene that presents a "banana-like flavor," which is supposedly one of the most important flavors swirling around in beer, as well as in other alcoholic drinks.
If this is true -- and if the scientists continue to grind away in their labs -- can we look forward to beer that continues to taste better and better in the years to come?
