Millions of people will be tuning in to watch the Philadelphia Eagles and the Kansas City Chiefs square off in the Super Bowl, but Donna Kelce will be viewing it from a unique perspective. That’s because both of her sons will be taking the field, but on opposing teams. Travis Kelce, Chiefs tight end, will be playing against his brother, Eagles center Jason Kelce, and it’s the first time brothers will face off in the NFL’s biggest game.
Donna was on the “Today” show yesterday, wearing a combo Eagles-Chiefs jersey and said she’s looking forward to the matchup between her sons, each of whom has already enjoyed a Super Bowl win. “They’ve already got the first win under their belts, so this is just going to be pure joy. We’re going to really enjoy this, have a great time,” the proud mama shares. “Obviously, there’s going to be somebody that’s going to go home heartbroken. They won’t have the bragging rights at the Thanksgiving table, but this is going to be an awesome event and I’m really looking forward to it.”
Still, only one of Donna’s sons will walk away with a win, and she knows there’s not much she’ll be able to do to console the one who loses. “Just give him a hug and tell him that I love him, that’s it,” she says of handling that tough moment. As for which team the mom will be rooting for, she admits she does favor one side. “Absolutely, the offense,” Donna teases, since both of her sons are offensive players.
- The mom also says her boys may have some ideas about who she’ll be cheering for. “I think that Jason would say I am going to root for the baby of the family, which is Travis. And I keep trying to tell him, ‘No, you’ve given me grandchildren,’ so we’ll leave it at that,” she jokes.

Scott's Thoughts:
- Lucky for this mom, she wins no matter how the game turns out!
- Guess all those nights of practice and weekends of football games while her boys were growing up really paid off!
- That family has a pretty high gross income.
