Want to live forever? Dr. Alex Zhavoronkov, the head of biotech company Insilico Medicine, says you might be able to with the help of a clone…or, at least, the organs of a clone. The researcher says that growing a clone of someone and using it for “spare parts” could help someone live forever.
Experiments have already been done with animals, but the biggest challenge to the idea in humans isn’t scientific…it’s ethical. “If someone figures out a way to get around the ethical and regulatory problems,” Dr. Zhavoronkov says, people currently in their twenties could live “many times longer” than currently possible.
