Sock It to Me (Man under influence swears these are not my pants!)

A Pennsylvania man caught with drugs in his pants and socks had a reasonable and perfectly credible excuse... they weren't his pants and socks.

Police approached 62-year-old Cameron Ernest Belle who was stopped in his car at an intersection -- even though there was no light or a stop sign. Officers quickly noted that his license was suspended and his vehicle registration was expired. Then they noticed his eyes were bloodshot and he was slurring his words. They conducted a field sobriety test, which he failed, and they conducted a search, which discovered methamphetamine in his sock and crack in his pants pocket. He insisted the pants weren't his and had no clue how the meth ended up in his sock. Officers weren't buying it and they arrested him for possession of a controlled substance, DUI, and several traffic offenses. (NorthCentralPA.com)

Scott's Thoughts:

  • Totally believable.
  • Even if he truly was wearing someone else's pants and socks, no one would ever believe him.
  • Have you ever actually worn someone else's pants or socks?
