Teen Popped For Setting Hotel Fire After Fighting With Mom: A 16-year-old girl has been arrested after setting a hotel couch on fire in Florida, causing a mass evacuation in the middle of the night, according to police. The teen, who was visiting from Peoria, Illinois allegedly started the fire after fighting with her mother, though it’s unclear what caused the fight. This caused 320 to evacuate at around 3:40 am Wednesday. “The damage to the hotel is estimated to be a couple hundred thousand dollars,” says a spokesperson for the Ocala Police. “Thankfully, no one was injured … and hotel guests were able to return to their rooms the same morning.” The teenager has been charged with arson. The investigation is ongoing.
