Try That In A Small Town - Jason Aldean - YOU BE THE JUDGE!

Jason Aldean's video, TRY THAT IN A SMALL TOWN, was accused of 'pro-lynching' stance by CMT. They yanked the video on after it garnered widespread attention over its lyrics and for featuring a Tennessee courthouse where a Black teenager was lynched.

Scott's Thoughts:

Cancel Culture is one of the worst things about this time. Jason recently was quoted in concert saying: “Here’s one thing I feel, I feel everybody’s entitled to their opinion. You can think something all you want to, it doesn’t mean it’s true. What I am is a proud American… I love our country. I want to see it restored to what it once was before all this BS started happening to us. I love my country, I love my family and I will do anything to protect that.”

I believe this song is a great, strong and true song. Small town America has more love to give than the rest of the world combined. While I am not condoning racism in any form, I also did not condone the violence and destruction that occurred in the wave of civil unrest of the last 3 years. But this song is not about that. I believe, and many country music fans agree, the song is about neighbors looking out for each other. It is not a rallying cry for violence, but rather, against violence against others. But you be the judge. CMT pulled the song. For now, it is still online and posted below. Enjoy!
