Airline Pilot In BIG Trouble After Taking Axe To Parking Gate

Airline Pilot In Deep Trouble After Taking Axe To Parking Gate: A United Airlines pilot has been charged with pummeling an exit gate at Denver International Airport with an axe earlier this month. After causing $700 in damages to the employee parking lot, police say the pilot, Kenneth Henderson Jones, told them "He just hit his breaking point." Footage from the August 2nd incident shows the 63-year-old pilot chopping at an exit gate 23 times until he finally knocks it over. After that, Jones gets in a scuffle with an airport employee who tries to wrangle the axe away from him. Finally, Jones gives up the weapon after a second employee helps wrestle it away. Jones has been charged Jones misdemeanor criminal mischief and is scheduled to appear in court in Court on September 25th. Meanwhile, the pilot has been “removed from the schedule and is on leave while United conducts an internal investigation." As for why he did it, Jones says he was being delayed by a line six cars deep, and by removing the exit gate, he "was trying to get rid of issues for everyone waiting."
