A Maryland man is scoffing at the idea that it's impossible to win the lottery by winning not one, but 15 jackpots.
The 65-year-old man purchased 15 identical tickets for a single Pick 5 lottery drawing and won. Each ticket had a jackpot worth $50,000, which means he raked in a total of $750,000. The unidentified winner told lottery officials he's played the lottery for many years and usually plays the Pick 4 game, which he has won a few times. But he recently decided to play the Pick 5 and, for some reason, buy 15 tickets with the same numbers. The longtime federal employee says the big win means he is now able to comfortably retire.
