Cruising the Pike... and Cod, and Salmon

A highway in Washington state was shut down for hours on Thursday after a semi truck overturned and spilled fish all over the road.

The fish spill occurred on Interstate 5 in Arlington, north of Seattle, and caused a three-mile backup in the northbound lanes. The road was closed while crews worked to remove the truck and scoop up the road chum. Cars were allowed to pass the gruesome mess on the shoulder. The driver of the truck was uninjured. It's unclear what caused the crash. (The Daily Herald)

  • They could have just called in the seagulls to clean up the mess.
  • These poor fish probably never thought they'd ever end up as roadkill.
