School Bus Driver Nabbed After Ramming Taxicab: A 74-year-old school bus driver for Lyme-Old Lyme High School in Connecticut has been arrested after ramming a taxi five times. William Slivinsk was driving nine kids and a coach at the time of the incident. The taxi had a minor in it as well. Though the reason for the crash remains unclear, Slivinsk was arrested and charged with evading responsibility, reckless driving, and nine counts of risk of injury to a minor. Slivinski was released on bond and is scheduled to appear in court on October 19th. Meanwhile, the taxi driver, 69-year-old Brian Neal, was also arrested and charged with evading responsibility since neither Neal nor Slivinsk reported the accident.

LAPD Cops Fired After Missing Robbery Call While Debating Pokémon Go: Two Los Angeles police officers are in big trouble after ignoring a call from their fellow officers on an armed robbery call because they were apparently too busy debating the finer points of Pokémon Go. Last week’s dashcam footage has been released which shows officers Louis Lozano and Eric Mitchell discussing “potions and Pokéballs” while a Macy's store was being robbed. The incident led to both officers being fired and a police board ruling the two acted in a way that was “unprofessional and embarrassing” and “violated the trust of the public.” Though the robbery took place in April of 2017, the three-hour surveillance video was finally released this week.
