Breathing on Mars ... Scientists at the University of Surrey in England have developed a "bacteria paint" that could create enough oxygen to breathe the air on Mars. This stuff captures carbon dioxide and produces oxygen -- and seems to be able to survive in extreme environments, which is why the researchers think it might be a key to cleaning up the currently un-breathable Martian air.
