At the Ritz in Paris, a “Malaysian businesswoman” found out when one such ring “vanished from the table in her room while she was out shopping.” The unnamed socialite “suspected it had been taken by a hotel employee,” but her suspicions ended up being incorrect. After security searched high and low for the pricey ring, the ring turned up inside the bag of a vacuum cleaner that was used in her room by a staff member. Stays at the Ritz Paris can run guests anywhere from $2,150 to $50K per night.
