No one ever wants to spend more time than they absolutely need to in an airplane bathroom, which is why you have to feel bad for one Delta passenger who became trapped in the lavatory for 35 minutes.
The flyer, named Brent, was flying with his wife and kids from Salt Lake City to New Orleans when he got up to use the bathroom. After about five minutes, his wife wondered why he was taking so long, but thought he was maybe taking a little extra time as respite from their two small kids. But more time went on and flight attendants began to wonder if he was OK.
Brent's wife eventually heard flight attendants say there was someone stuck in the bathroom, and she told them it was probably her husband. Apparently the door became stuck in the locked position and he couldn't get out. The flight crew tried to pull the door open from the outside and that didn't work either. It ultimately took the pilot to come out of the cockpit to pull on the door while Brent kicked it from the inside. That finally did it and Brent was freed. Fortunately it didn't happen to an elderly person or someone with claustrophobia. (Yahoo)
