An Iowa woman is under arrest after she set the front porch of a stranger's home on fire.
Cops in Burlington, Iowa say 46-year-old Michelle Young walked up to a home and knocked on the door three times. When there was no answer, she set the porch on fire. The homeowner said they do not know Young and have doorbell camera footage of her lighting some items on fire.
Police arrived at the scene and found Young who admitted to setting the porch ablaze, but offered a bizarre reason for doing it. She said she believed the home belonged to a friend. She also said that she saw a sign outside which read, "Witches welcome," and since she is a witch, she decided to light a fire, adding that she wasn't going to hurt anyone or let the fire get out of control. Before showing up at the house, police say she had spent a couple of hours walking around the neighborhood collecting random items including a car’s taillight, tin foil, tree bark and a yellow lawn flag. She was also in possession of drug paraphernalia. She's facing multiple charges. (KCRG-TV)
