Imagine going to bed one night, and waking up to discover your bank account has grown by over $13 million. Richard and Jacqueline Warnock, of Manchester, England, woke up last Wednesday morning to find that they’d “hit the jackpot” thanks to a “banking error.” Richards admits that “for a few hours” he’d talked himself into thinking it was real and contemplating ways to spend his newly discovered wealth. Then, he noticed that the balance was up in his wife’s account, too. Once the computer glitch was discovered, Richard says his “heart sank,’ but that’s better than pulling out all of the cash and blowing it all…and then trying to explain where it all went to the authorities.
