A Florida woman called 911 last week for help with removing an unwanted house guest -- an eight-foot long alligator.
It's not unusual to see gators walking outside of homes in Florida, but Mary Hollenback's visitor had actually gotten inside her home and was chilling out in her living room. She was in another room of the house when she heard banging on the screen door and thought it was maybe one of the neighbors in her community trying to get into the wrong house. But when she entered the living room to get to the front door, she was greeted by an enormous alligator.
Mary says she had two thoughts immediately go through her head: "Oh my gosh, I have an alligator in my house," and "Oh my gosh, I have an alligator in my house; how am I going to get rid of him?" She called the police and they brought along several wildlife officers along to help remove the intruder from the home. Mary says the gator came from a nearby pond and was shocked that none of her neighbors noticed the gator walking across two yards and crossing a street to get to her house. (WTVT-TV - Tampa)
