A TikTok food scientist has shared his winemaking experiment using Mountain Dew in a recent video. Despite initial skepticism, Charles Biolo combined Mountain Dew with honey and yeast in a mead kit, allowing it to ferment for several weeks. Surprisingly, fermentation began as early as day two.
Despite a slight chemical aftertaste, Biolo describes the final result as a smooth, citrus mead, adding it “didn’t taste completely like battery acid.” What’s more, the “Dew” it yourself final product weighed in with an estimated alcohol content of 13.9%. Video Below.
