A 9-year-old New York boy thought he cleverly got out of going to school last week until he was caught playing hooky by a TV news helicopter.
A WCBS-TV helicopter spotted a boy playing on the roof of a building and learned that he had been reported missing earlier in the day when he didn't show up for school. The pilot alerted the TV station who called police. The helicopter then continued to hover over the apartment building until police officers arrived and gave them the thumb's up. The boy was not hurt, but was likely very disappointed that he got caught. (NY Post)
