There’s been substantially positive movement when it comes to bad behavior from airline passengers. In 2021, unruly passenger reports hit a high of around 6,000 incidents. Since 2022, those instances have dropped 75%. One reason is obvious, COVID mask mandates were dropped in 2022, which played a major role in restoring people’s sanity. In addition, there are fewer “unseasoned” or first-time travelers taking to the sky and flights are once again serving alcohol, both of which are thought to have led to the decrease in people being mid-air jerks to flight crews.
