Report: Elite Colleges Shocked That Students Can’t Read An Entire Book

There seems to be an interesting and shocking phenomenon going on at elite universities that has professors baffled. Teachers from schools like Georgetown, Stanford, and Columbia have reported being stunned by the number of students coming into classes who are “overwhelmed by the prospect of reading an entire book.” Humanities professor Nicholas Dams, from Columbia, said his “jaw dropped” when one of his students told him she’d gone through her entire high school career never being asked to read even one book in its entirety.
