School bus driver faces disciplinary action; lets stranger on bus with kids

A Campbell County school bus driver is facing "disciplinary action" after picking up a stranger while students were on board. Campbell County school officials are investigating after parents reported the incident.

Lindsey Burns says it started with a text message from her son, a fifth grader at Rustburg Elementary School. That turned into a phone call and then a Face Time call.  Burns' son told her the bus driver picked up a stranger off the side of the road on Wednesday afternoon, February 21, 2018.

The school district confirmed that a bus driver allowed an acquaintance on her bus for a short period of time.
