Portsmouth man puts 'copyright' on homemade child porn

May 24, 2018 - Official documents show that a Portsmouth, Virginia man added a "copyright" to images of him molesting a two-year-old boy.

WTKR reports that Dashawn Webster was arrested last week.

Investigators carried out two investigations into multiple screen names that traced back to Webster.

Investigators recovered a thumb drive during a search of a different suspect's home.

They said the drive contained 15 images of child pornography and were watermarked with a copyright symbol.

Court documents said it appeared to be homemade.

Investigators said after they searched Webster's home, he admitted to producing the images found on the thumb drive.

They said Webster told them the child was just two years old when the images were made in November 2016.
