Radford City Police have arrested and charged a man after an 8-week-old infant was taken to the hospital with significant injuries.
Shawn Douglas Smith, 20, the father of the child, has been charged with aggravated malicious wounding. He is being held at the New River Valley Regional Jail without bond.
Police are not releasing any other information at this time.
