Lynchburg Man Convicted Of Robbing Campbell Avenue Store

Darius Marquise Dukes was tried on August 7, 2018 and was convicted of one charge of robbery and one charge of use of a firearm in commission of a felony. 

Dukes and two accomplices could be seen robbing the Fast Mart on Campbell Avenue in surveillance footage. The robbery occurred last December. 

The Commonwealth Attorney representing the case presented the footage as well as the testimony of several detectives and officers from the Lynchburg Police Department. 

Ronnie Peterson, the second suspect, plead guilty in July. The third suspect, Malcolm West is scheduled to be tried on August 27, 2018. 

Dukes is set for final sentencing in October. The jury recommended five years for the robbery and three years for the firearm charge.
