The Better Business Bureau is warning of a social media scam surrounding Elon Musk, the founder of Tesla.
A verified Twitter account was hacked and the name was changed to Elon Musk (or something similar), along with a profile picture that usually matches the most recent profile image of Musk.
Then, they said the scammer tweets out information regarding a cryptocurrency scam, making it appear as though Musk himself is involved. However, the scammer's username remains non-Musk related and is is said to be a giveaway to the intentions of the individual.
