Police Continue Their Search for Arieanna Day



The Roanoke Police Department and the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office held a press conference this afternoon to provide an update on the Arieanna Day investigation.  

The infant was three months old when she went missing from her Roanoke home in the 1100 block of Hanover Avenue on September 11, 2018. 

The child's father, Andrew Christopher Terry, 31, of Roanoke, was arrested  and charged with illegal disposal of a body but was later released from jail on October 17 on $50,000 bond.  He told police that he dug a shallow grave and left her on a Montgomery County hillside; however, a body has not been recovered. 

Roanoke Police Chief Tim Jones says Terry remains a suspect as does the baby's biological mother. 

A search warrant revealed he mother did not call police immediately after she discovered the baby missing but instead, reportedly spent time sending messages on Facebook.

Day has been added to a statewide list of missing children.
