UPDATE 2:30pm: Inmate David McFall is back in custody

A search is underway for a prisoner who escaped work detail in Roanoke County.
Roanoke County PIO Amy Whitaker said the prisoner was working as part of the Roanoke County Sheriff's Office inmate work crew and left where they were working.
Law enforcement is currently searching for him near Ardagh, which is near the Food Lion on Hollins Road in Roanoke.
Some businesses have gone on lockdown as law enforcement searches the area.
Initial reports say the suspect is not armed.
