An anonymous woman has filed a lawsuit against Bedford County, and its Fire and EMS Chief, John Jones.
The federal lawsuit filed under the name Jane Doe says she was sexually assaulted during ride-along training as a volunteer EMT with the Huddleston Life Saving and First Aid Crew.
The lawsuit says the man who assaulted her was a convicted felon, and says Jones never read his background report before hiring him.
The lawsuit also says Jones established the policy that allowed adults to provide ride-along training with underage female trainees.
She's asking for more than 30 million dollars.
