Steve Miller Band Concert in downtown Lynchburg scheduled to start later

Due to the forecasted heat advisory the Saturday STEVE MILLER BAND concert RIVERFRONT PARK in DOWNTOWN LYNCHBURG will run later to mitigate potential audience heat issues. This will allow the sun to be mostly obscured behind the buildings and overall temperatures cooler when the audience is present.

Evening temperatures are currently forecast at 76°. “I applaud Lynchburg Parks and Emergency Services for permitting us to run the show later, also, in addition to working very closely with Emergency Services we are allowing patrons to bring their own water along with their lawn chairs and throw blankets into the concert,” said Kyle Falwell of City Auditorium.

The show schedule is now as follows:

6:30 p.m. - Gates open

7:30 p.m. - Matt Anderson

8:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. - Marty Stuart & His Fabulous Superlatives

9:30 p.m. - 11:30 p.m. - Steve Miller Band
