Tim McGraw Explains How Faith Hill Motivates Him To Work Out Harder

Tim McGraw is not only known for his successful career in country music, but also his incredibly healthy lifestyle. Since the singer has spent more time at home this year due to the coronavirus pandemic, he's had to make several adjustments to his day-to-day fitness routine, especially on the days when his wife Faith Hill is in the kitchen.

"When Faith’s cooking, I sort of work out harder that day when I know she’s cooking something good," McGraw recently told his record label. "So, I'll try to earn it."

The "I Called Mama" singer also shared that before the pandemic forced him to postpone his "Here On Earth Tour," he had already started ramping up his workouts in anticipation for the trek, which was supposed to kick off in July. "I’m hardheaded so it’s hard for me to sit still very long, so I have to do something most the time," McGraw explained. "I was actually getting geared up and starting to really pick my workouts up because we were gettin’ ready to go into rehearsals and gettin’ ready for the tour coming in July. So, I had been picking my workouts up until all this happened."

He added, "And then I couldn't say I slacked off, but I've taken it a little easier and taken a few days off, more than I usually do."

McGraw previously told his record label what dishes Hill has been cooking frequently throughout the coronavirus pandemic.

"Faith makes great fried chicken, so we've had fried chicken quite a few times and I make the mashed potatoes," he shared. "We’ve had fried chicken and mashed potatoes quite a few times, and she makes the best roasted chicken that you can possibly imagine. And I make a pretty dang good country fried steak."

McGraw also noted that he struggles with food cravings quite often, but usually tries to go for the healthier option. "I crave stuff all the time," he said. "I love a great cheeseburger. I mean, I'm a cheeseburger fanatic, but now it’s more turkey burgers than a real cheeseburger every now and then."

When it comes to Thanksgiving, McGraw leaves the cooking up to his wife. “For Thanksgiving, I don’t cook. Faith does all the cooking for Thanksgiving," he recently shared. "We have to have turkey, we have to have our stuffing and we have to have cornbread and peas, of course."
