Birth Control Pills are Being Recalled for Packaging Errors

You may want to check the packaging and label of your birth control because the US Food and Drug Administration have announced that particular batches of birth control pills have been voluntarily recalled because of a packaging error.

Apotex Corp., originally a Canadian pharmaceutical production company with operations in Florida, recalled four lots of Drospirenone and Ethinyl Estradiol Tablets from wholesalers, distributors, and consumers as a result of missing or incorrect tablet arrangements.

The following lot numbers have been affected by the defective packaging:

  • 7DY008A
  • 7DY009A
  • 7DY010A
  • 7DY011A

Even if you don't have pills from these batches you might just want to take precautions in case any other batches were mislabeled as well.
