You may be doing your body a disservice if you shower every day.
There’s a lot of science behind the argument that showering everyday disrupts your body’s natural “flow.” Too much showering disturbs the human microbiome, the collection of microbes living in and on your body. They play a huge role in immunity, digestion, and heart health. We strip away too many when we take daily showers.
As for smelling funky when you don’t take showers? It’s because we messed up our systems. But, once we scale back, the body doesn’t smell bad after a while… it adjusts.
