A new poll shows how little the average person is connected to the Oscars.
“The Hollywood Reporter” commissioned poll revealed six-in-ten people couldn’t name one of the Best Picture nominees.
When split along party lines, the poll showed some movies favored by each party. The only place everyone agreed was about Ryan Reynolds. The one film both groups had seen in very large numbers (56% of Clinton's voters and 43% of Trump's) was “Deadpool. “
While the Academy may be upset with some of the numbers, they were relieved to find out that despite not knowing the movies, seven-in-ten people will still watch the awards show.Source: Hollywood Reporter
