It looks like there's a bidding war over the "American Idol" reboot. According to TMZ, NBC AND FOX are both fighting to bring the singing competition show to their network.
NBC wants "Idol" to balance out "The Voice." With another similar show, "The Voice" would go from twice a year to one season a year, which reportedly works better for coach Adam Levine.
As for FOX, which had the show in the first place, they only cancelled "Idol" because it was getting too expensive to produce. Now, they want it back with a new, less pricey panel of judges. While Ryan Seacrest may return as host, it looks like Jennifer Lopez, Keith Urban and Harry Connick Jr. are still going to be out of a gig.
