Kaden Newton is only seven, but this kid has already started a nonprofit called “Mac and Cheese and Pancakes” that helps get “kid-friendly and kid-approved” foods to hungry kids in his Rockwall, Texas community. He had been a big fan of the local food pantry, but didn’t think they had any “kid food” he liked, so he’s trying to change that.
In February, he started an online campaign to collect food for the needy and in the first two weeks, he had more than 10,000 items. And since then, Mac and Cheese and Pancakes has collected 26,000 pounds of kid-friendly food.
Newton’s motivation is simple. He says, “Feeding other kids makes me feel really good.”
