Lynchburg's Rashad Jennings Still in the Hunt on DWTS

Last night's "Dancing With the Stars" included not only routines from the five remaining couples, but trio dances, as well. Here's how the episode shook out:

  • Rashad Jennings and Emma Slater: Two things are clear: Rashad has plenty of swag and Emma is thrilled to finally have a partner who has a shot at winning. Their routine is energized, but his feet are a bit sloppy. They get nines across the board for a 36.
  • Normani Kordei and Val Chmerkovskiy: For their routine, Normani and Val were inspired by the racist bullying Normani has dealt with online. All of the judges talk about how powerful the routine is, but ever honest Len Goodman admits he isn't a fan of the style. Regardless, they get a perfect 40.
  • Bonner Bolton and Sharna Burgess: Bonner's dancing was better than usual, but leave it to Len to speak the truth: he shouldn't still be here. Overall, Bonner and Sharna finished with a measly 30.
  • Simone Biles and Sasha Farber: For some reason, Simone and Sasha can't seem to break through to that perfect score realm. Their foxtrot got them all nines for a 36.
  • David Ross and Lindsay Arnold: David and Lindsay had the sweetest dance of the night, cementing that he sure is likable. Len continues his evening of shade by celebrating David for working on his footwork...which many of the celebs apparently don't do. Ouch! David and Lindsay also got a 36.
  • Next up, the trio dances. Rashad and Emma were joined by Emma's BFF, Witney Carson. It wasn't Rashad's best dance, but there was a double lift. The first trio land a 39.
  • Normani and Val teamed up with Alan Bersten: The next trio went for a country theme, so naturally Bonner ended up being vaguely involved. The female judges were a fan, but no joke Len pointed out that she didn't do as much actual dancing as she could have. They too get a 39.
  • Bonner and Sharna were joined by Britt Stewart and it was a mess. Aside from being incredibly raunchy, there wasn't really much dancing. The judges tried to be nice, but it took some effort. The trio got a 28.
  • Simone and Sasha brought Brittany Cherry along for their trio and yet again, the judges found flaws in Simone. Len again reminds her that she's gotten plenty of nines, but he's yet to give her a 10. She gets nines across the board again for a 36.
  • David and Lindsay were joined by Hayley Erbert and while the concept was cool, David wasn't able to keep up. None of the judges were impressed and the trio barely squeaked by Bonner with a 29.

At the end of the night, Bonner was finally sent packing. Somewhere Nancy Kerrigan is furiously pacing.

Here's the leaderboard as it stands:

79: Normani Kordei75: Rashad Jennings72: Simone Biles65: David Ross
