On Friday night, Garth Brooks played the seventh of nine sold-out shows in Edmonton, Alberta. Thousands of fans attended, including the five-millionth person to purchase a ticket for his current World Tour.
The event marked a massive milestone - in less than three years, having played just 60 cities, Garth has sold five-million tickets.
Trisha Yearwood interrupted her portion of the show to bring her husband onstage, surprising him with commemorative plaques to mark the incredible accomplishment.
Scott's Thoughts:
- Garth surprised the five-millionth ticket holder backstage before the show, showering the fan with gifts.
- The last time Garth sold five million tickets was back in the '90s. And then it took him 100 cities to reach that plateau.
- That's a lot of tickets!
- Have you made your way out to Garth's world tour?
- Trisha is so supportive of her husband. Talk about relationship goals!
