LYNCHBURG, Va. (WSET) - Heritage High School was on lockdown Friday morning for about 10 minutes, according to school officials.
Officials say there was "an issue in the community that may have posed a danger to Heritage High School."
The following message was sent to parents:
We wanted to touch base in regard to this morning's lockdown. An issue in the community that may have posed a danger to HHS and our faculty and students prompted us to go on lockdown. Once verification was received that there was in fact no danger, the lockdown was lifted.
School officials say once they got verification that there was no danger, the lockdown was lifted.
