Thrill Ride Takes Fowl Turn

A roller coaster turned into an Alfred Hitchcock movie for a thrill-seeker in Spain when a bird slammed into his neck.

A man was riding the Red Force roller coaster at the just-opened Ferrari Land in Barcelona. The thrill ride is said to be Europe's fastest, reaching speeds of 112 miles per hour. He was having a great time until his face collided with a large bird, which got stuck in his neck. Once he realized what had happened, he understandably freaked out and tossed the bird away, but was left a bit of a bloody mess.

Fortunately, he wasn't badly hurt. The condition of the bird is unknown. (AOL)

Scott's Thoughts:

  • The funniest part of the incident is that after he pushed the bird away, he went right back to enjoying the ride.
  • The guy's mouth was open the whole time. He's lucky the bird didn't get stuck in his throat.
  • Do you ever think about something slamming you in the face while on a amusement park ride?
  • The same thing happened to Italian model Fabio in 1999. He was riding a roller coaster in Busch Gardens when a goose slammed into his face leaving his nose bloodied.
