Ulmo Shannon "Sonny" Randle, Jr. (born January 6, 1936) sportscaster and former American football player and coach died at the age of 81 on May 24, 2017. He played wide receiver in the National Football League (NFL) for the Chicago Cardinals/St. Louis Cardinals, San Francisco 49ers and the Dallas Cowboys. He played college football at UVA. Also well known in the Shenandoah Valley and elsewhere for his sport broadcasting career, his Sonny Randle Sports minutes and his self made tag line..."so long everybody!"
