Tim McGraw and Faith Hill’s album collaboration, “The Rest Of Our Life,” has taken the number one spot on the Top Country Albums chart and it’s the number two spot on the all-genre Billboard 200.
On Top Country Albums, “The Rest Of Our Life,” marks Tim’s 16thnumber one - and that ties Tim with Garth Brooks and Merle Haggardfor the third-most number ones in the chart’s 54-year history. It also makes Tim and Faith the first married couple to top the chart on a duets album since Garth and Trisha Yearwood did it last year.
The album has produced two singles so far, “Speak To A Girl,” peaking at number six on Hot Country Songs and the title track, “The Rest Of Our Life” heads to the 18th spot this week.
- Garth Brooks album, “The Anthology: Part 1,The First Five Years,” opens at number four on the all-genre Billboard 200, and debuts at number two on Top Country Albums. This marks his 22nd Top Country Albums, and his 19th on the Billboard 200.
- And for newcomers Lanco their single, “Greatest Love Story,” hits its first number one spot on Hot Country Songs. Lanco frontman Brandon Lancaster has a message for all aspiring songwriters, “I wrote this song before we had a record deal, and it feels like such a strong testament to the power of songwriting” he says. "Anyone on any given day could sit down with a pen and paper and write lyrics that could one day resonate with millions of people."
